Requests for Proposals (RFPs), or Invitations for Bids (IFBs), are a challenge to prepare well. For the greatest chance of success, and to be effective with your time and energy, having a professional prepare them is the way to go.

Some of the skills which are necessary include writing skills, research skills, working with different kinds of computer files, layout and presentation skills, and closing skills. By some strange twist of fate, for which I can give no explanation, I seem to possess all of these skills, which is why I am in this profession.

For some minimum background about myself, I have a degree in Philosophy from U.C. Berkeley, and I have been working as a professional writer and editor for 18 years. I specialize in preparing RFPs and IFBs because I seem to be good at it, and the clients like my work and keep coming back for more. I am also a member of the Association of Proposal Management Professionals.
